The principal of the firm, Bobbie Huskey, M.S.W., is a practitioner with 38 years in the juvenile justice field, including serving as a social worker for a juvenile juvenile corrections treatment center in Louisville, KY; a family therapist in Richmond, VA ; and a school social worker for the Chesterfield County Schools, VA.

Ms. Huskey has been a Juvenile Justice Consultant for much of her professional life.

• Maricopa County: Juvenile justice system Master Plan Update with extensive research, policy analysis and strategic planning to reduce crowding in the County’s two juvenile detention centers and expand alternatives to detention
• Navajo Nation: Restorative justice planning to implement evidence-based practices and multipurpose justice facilities

California

• Corrections Standards Authority: Training on the implementation of evidence-based practices to all county Juvenile Probation Departments in collaboration with Assessments.com and the University of Cincinnati Center for Criminal Justice Research. The goal of this three-year initiative is to assist probation departments increase their knowledge and use of evidence-based practices which has proven to be successful in reducing recidivism in juveniles
• Santa Clara County Juvenile Probation Department: Provided technical assistance on the development of the Department’s Juvenile Diversion Program that will divert low-risk youth to early intervention programming
• Santa Clara County Juvenile Probation Department: Conducted an assessment of services provided by the County Office of Education to youth confined in the Juvenile Hall and the two ranches and to document compliance with County Memoranda of Understanding
• Santa Clara County Juvenile Probation Department: Conducted a system-wide needs assessment and developed a Continuum of Graduated Sanctions for Youth on Probation
• Alameda County Juvenile Probation Department: Conducted a System-wide Juvenile Justice System Needs Assessment and Strategic Plan to reduce the population of the Juvenile Hall and Ranches, expedite cases through the juvenile court and that expand alternatives to detention and out of home placement
• San Bernardino County Juvenile Probation Department: Conducted a Juvenile Needs Assessment and Master Plan
• Santa Barbara County Juvenile Probation Department: Conducted a Juvenile Justice Needs Assessment

• State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families: Developed the Architectural Program Plan for a new Female Treatment Facility for the Department of Children and Families

• State of Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice: Conducted a Statewide Assessment of the Illinois Youth Centers and developed a Master Plan to implement for reform of the state’s juvenile facilities for the Department of Juvenile Justice and to reduce the low and moderate risk youth confined in the Illinois Youth Centers
• State of Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission: Developed and implemented the Juvenile Justice Public Education Campaign for the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission to remove juveniles from Illinois jails
